Volunteer Placement Areas

1. Teaching & Education

Volunteers support local schools at the primary and junior levels by assisting with classroom teaching, lesson planning, tutoring, and educational activities.

Working alongside local teachers, volunteers help strengthen learning outcomes and inspire young minds.

2. Healthcare & Nursing

Placements are available in hospitals and clinics, particularly in Accra.

Medical students and qualified professionals can:

  • Shadow healthcare staff
  • Assist in nursing and midwifery
  • Gain practical, supervised experience

All placements are conducted in ethical, structured, and professionally guided environments.

3. Childcare & Orphanage Support

Volunteers provide care, academic support, and emotional encouragement to children in understaffed care centers, orphanages, and specialized schools, including institutions for children with special needs such as the deaf.

The goal is to create safe, nurturing, and supportive environments for vulnerable children.

4. Building & Construction

Volunteers contribute to the construction and renovation of schools and community facilities, especially in rural communities such as the Akuapem Hills.

No prior construction experience is required—only a willingness to work, learn, and make a difference.

5. Sports & Community Development

Volunteers use sports as a tool for empowerment by:

  • Coaching children and youth
  • Organizing games and tournaments
  • Leading recreational and life skills activities

These efforts promote teamwork, confidence, discipline, and healthy lifestyles.

Expected Impact

  • Improved learning environments in schools
  • Enhanced healthcare support in underserved areas
  • Better care and support for vulnerable children
  • Strengthened community infrastructure
  • Personal growth and global awareness among volunteers
